Emma (Emma Enchanted)

I had been praying for a black and white paint for awhile and when I heard about Emma, I just had to go see her.  Emma came to us 3 years ago from a local family that did not have the time to care for her. She was originally a barrel racer and we were told won great sums of money doing so. When the owners sold her to a local family they had intentions of racing her and did so for a while. The first time we saw her she was in a stall covered with flies, full of manure, eaten with eczema and had very sad eyes.  Her mane was about 1/2" long and tail was half eaten off.

I knew immediately I had to have her. I couldn't leave this angel. We started taking care of her at the family's home until we could bring her to our own property a month later. They dropped her off after a $500 fee and she was ours. My daughter Natasha and I began caring for her eczema and wounds naturally and consistantly. She slowly started growing her mane and tail back and her belly, instead of being scaled now had fur.

We renamed her Emma Enchanted because of her one brown eye and one blue and found her to have the sweetest personality.   Natasha began to ride her daily and she was so obedient and loving, anyone would love her back.  She was the first horse I took on a bare back trail ride (ouch).  She is the one I trust the most because of her submissive gentle ways.  That sounds like God teaching a lesson. When we are submissive and gentle, people tend to trust us more.  Thanks for the lesson Emma-my love.
