Every horse at Walk on Water has a story and a personality all their own. Our horses are calm, gentle, and excited to meet you!

    The first member of the equine partners here at Walk on Water. She may seem lazy all the time, but she is a horse that looks out for her rider! This trusty ole mare sure does love her belly scratches.

    An ex-Amish cart horse has now been finding a new career as a therapy horse. Dutch is sturdy and reliable. With a sweet soul and love for people, he has gone above and beyond here.

    A long time member of Walk on Water, Emma has left hoof prints on many hearts. This pretty mare has two different eye colors and continues to teach riders valuable lessons.

    This lil’ red roan mare is quite the punchy mare. Jazzy brings some spunk to the barn while also keeping the younger members in line. This ole mare is cute, loving, and fun!

    This mare is the youngest of the herd. Sunny loves attention and quality time. As sturdy and bombproof as this horse is, she is going to go far here at WOW.

    This handsome gelding’s name is fitting because he is such a trip! He has brought life to the herd and has made his mark on many hearts that visit him. Energetic and willing to please are some great words to describe Trip.

    Peppe is a charming Welsh Pony–Quarter Horse cross with many wonderful years of event experience under his saddle. Thanks to the kindness of Amberdell Equine Sanctuary, who saw his gentle spirit and knew he’d be a perfect fit for our program, Peppe has now begun his “retirement career” here – one filled with love, attention, and plenty of new friends.

    The best cart pony you’ll ever find…or so we think so! Paco is such a good ole’ guy and absolutely loves pulling the cart. He is great for some of our smaller clients.

    A rescue from a local situation, Riley has made huge strides here at Walk on Water. We have peeled back layers and always knew the sweetest gelding was always there. Mischievous at times but he is willing to please above and beyond!

    Willow left us surrounded by her Walk on Water family, plenty of treats, and so much love. She was an athletic, spirited horse who could carry riders of every level and left her mark on countless hearts. We are grateful for every moment she was ours.

    Gwinney's best partner in crime was always Paco, and the two were inseparable here at Walk on Water. Despite a hard past, she found a wonderful life at the ranch and touched the hearts of everyone who met her sweet spirit. She is deeply missed.

    Relly crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2021 at the age of 32, after a lifetime of service to this community. She was a blessing to everyone she encountered and is dearly missed. We will always love you, Relly.

    Our gentle giant and a barn favorite through and through. Clyde spent his younger days as a Hunter/Jumper before finding his retirement home at Walk on Water, where he soaked up every bit of love and attention that came his way. We are so grateful for the time we had with him.

    Morgan Arabian

    Maars was the wise and gentle leader of our herd, guiding both horses and humans with patience and quiet strength. The oldest of our family, he carried with him years of wisdom and the dignity of a life well-lived. Though retired from riding, he never stopped teaching—showing countless riders the importance of care, respect, and the deep bond between horse and human.

    True to his spirit, Maars remained a spirited old man until the very day he trotted off to heaven. His presence will forever be felt in our barn, in our hearts, and in the lessons he so gracefully shared. Though he has crossed the rainbow bridge, his leadership, love, and legacy will always remain part of Walk on Water.
